TIPS

  1. An average is a value that is evenly distributed among a number of quantities.
  2. The average of two or three quantities can be found by distributing its total evenly among these two or three quantities respectively.
  3. Formula of average can be determined as follows:

For example:Calculate the average of 1 / 2 kg, 3 / 4 kg and 619 g, in g.
Solution:

1 / 2 kg =500 g
3 / 4 kg = 750 g
